As with most communities in Quebec, where you find a school, there is a church right next door. In the first half of the last century the two were not easy to separate for Catholics. This image was shot on De L'Eglise street.
This gang has been protesting the lack of parity between themselves and myself as I tease them by tossing my sunflower seed shells into the yard for them to swoop in and find empty. I can only hope that 99% of the shit falls into the other yard and my side of the fence stays clean.
Nalin is on high alert and constant patrol for tree rats this time of year. Our safety and well being depends on her diligence. Or so she would have us believe.
This was done the same afternoon as the previous post. I had collected a bag of leaves and used a glue stick to adhere them to a sheet of printer paper. then I hung it in the window. I think it would have worked better if I had worked from light to dark from the middle and had the reds around the edges. Oh well, I learned something for next time.
I was out walking Nalin one afternoon and decided to collect some leaves and try taping them in my dinning room window to catch the late day sun shining through them. Turned out pretty cool except the dust on the outside of the window pane got accentuated.
You would not suspect that these delicate looking Crokus would be so robust and last into the late days of fall. The contrast of colors is amazing.
